Overview

Friends with Seraphim is a creation from a friendship between Whit and Aaron.  This friendship has lasted decades and started in their childhood via a neighborhood snowball fight.  Whit and Aaron decided to start this blog to discuss Whit's unique spiritual genius as well as a means to stay connected towards a common aim.

Blog Process:

Whit will have an inspiration or read some scripture and write some of his thoughts down on paper. Then I Aaron will to the best of my ability try to capture that in this blog.  I will also respond to Whit's thoughts from my maybe more orthodox perspective.

A little about Whit:

Whit is a humble man that believe in God but "struggles wild times."  He was diagnosed with Schizophrenia several years ago and desires to put roots down to strengthen His faith to be a child of God.  He is unorthodox i.e. believes in reincarnation and doesn't ascribe to any denomination but will attend a church service.  He believes the bible is true.

Whit has attended private and public schools in his academic journey and has obtained His bachelors from the University of Illinois majoring in religious studies.

To help you understand Whit I asked him a couple questions below:

Aaron: How would you describe your relationship with Jesus?

Whit: Troublesome. Jesus has yet to save me, i’m still a lost soul, a lost sheep. I praise Jesus with all my heart and all my mind. I don’t know any other way to pay homage to God.

I don’t believe any one is saved until they die.

Aaron: Do you think you will be saved?

Whit: I hope so I believe so. Its not something that worries me. Its something I long for as a child of God. Its up to God.

A little about Aaron:

Aaron(thats me) was raised in a non-denominational charismatic pastors home.  After some rebellious years in high school I eventually gave Jesus my all.  I attended Trinity Christian College where I met my beautiful wife Kristy. After a couple years of marital bliss I went back to school and obtained my Masters in Transformational Leadership at Bethel Seminary.  In 2011, I was ordained as a pastor at the same church my father helped start back in the 70's.  I now live in Crystal Lake with Kristy and our three beautiful children.
